How do reminders work?
Every open invoice moves along a six-step ladder tied to its due date: a courtesy heads-up 3 days before, a note on the due day, then increasingly firm (but always polite) follow-ups at 3, 7, 14, and 30 days past due. When a step's day arrives, the invoice appears in the "Reminders to send" queue on the home screen with the email already written.
Does Dundue send emails automatically?
No — by design. Dundue drafts the message; you send it from your own email account via the Share button or your mail app. Clients see a normal email from you, not an automated system.
How do I send from my business email?
Use the Share button and pick your mail app — you can change the From account in the draft before sending. If you use Apple Mail's compose screen, tap the From line to switch accounts, or set your default account in iOS Settings → Apps → Mail → Default Account.
Why isn't an invoice showing a reminder?
Reminders only queue when a ladder step's day has arrived and that step hasn't been marked sent. If you marked a step sent by mistake, open the invoice and long-press the entry in Reminder history to remove it.
What does Dundue Pro include?
Dundue Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited invoices (the free version tracks 15). Clients, the reminder ladder, and backup export are free forever. Already purchased? Use Restore purchases in Settings.
How do backups work?
Settings → Export backup creates a plain JSON file with all your clients, invoices, and reminder history — save it to Files, iCloud Drive, or anywhere you like. Import backup restores it, replacing what's in the app. Your data lives only on your device, so export a backup before switching phones.
